Ring of Grappling

Fires magical grapple twice per day, range up to 60 feet, that never misses* and always grips target**. Grapple does no damage. May be used to pull target to ring wielder, or vice versa, based on weight. Creature targets get STR dice check (opposed by ring wielder) to avoid being pulled. Grapple and line last for 2 turns unless dispelled by user and cannot be broken***.

* Target must be at least size Small. May hit creatures or materials that can only be hit by magic. Ring is perfectly accurate but does not "seek" - creatures with Dodge or similar ability may make a reflex saving throw (at -2 plus Dodge or relevant Skills/Feats/Abilities) to avoid.

** Grapple magically seals to target. Target must be corporeal, and cannot be amorphous or frictionless. There must be some kind of surface that can be sealed against.

*** Line cannot be severed but magical attacks such as Disintegrate have full effect. It may also be Dispelled (treat as if cast by level 20).
